Two motorcyclists were involved in a motorcycle accident on the San Diego (405) Freeway next to Sherman Oaks, on Tuesday, leaving one person with a broken leg whilst also blocking two of the southbound freeway lanes, authorities said.

The motorcycle crash occurred just shortly before 6am just south of Sepulveda Boulevard, reported an officer with the California Highway Patrol. The carpool lane and the No.1 lane were both blocked while crews worked to clear the motorcycle accident scene.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances and cause of the crash and no further information is currently available.
